Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation’s Exhibition Award

The Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation’s Exhibition Award supports innovative art exhibitions throughout the United States that challenge convention through the exploration of critical ideas in contemporary art. The Exhibition Award includes the following five components: Core Exhibition and Publication, Touring Incentive, Support for Living Artists, Video Documentation, and Curatorial Development. The focus is on strong, thematic exhibitions that put the works of contemporary art or architecture in a new or unconventional aesthetic, historical, cultural, or social framework. Grants are provided for exhibitions at the beginning stage of their development in order to offer the curator the support needed to fully explore a concept and realize an exhibition. Established (five or more years old) nonprofit exhibition spaces, traditional galleries, and museums are eligible to apply. The application deadline is January 14, 2016. Visit the Foundation’s website to review the guidelines and submit an online application
