Share your interest in leadership! We are encouraging papers and panels from all academic disciplines for the 2012 Tobias Leadership Conference (formerly known as the Multi-Sector Forum), to be held in Colorado Springs on February 23-25, 2012. A primary purpose of this conference is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and facilitate the exchange of ideas on the broad subject of leadership.
The forum will begin with a reception on Thursday evening, February 23 at the Center for Creative Leadership . Multiple sessions will be held Friday and Saturday consisting of speaker presentations, panel discussions, and research presentations concerning the broad topic of leadership. There will be a gala dinner on Friday evening. The opening reception, conference lunches on Friday and Saturday and gala dinner are included with conference registration. The conference will be held at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort located in Colorado Springs, CO.
- Abstracts should be no more than 300 words long.
- Abstracts should be in MSword or .pdf format.
- Abstracts should describe the proposed paper, panel, or discussion session.
Please include the following information when submitting your abstract:
- Contact information including full title, any university or college affiliation, address, and phone number.
- Short 3-4 sentence biography of the author and/or presenter.
Doctoral Students are encouraged to submit papers; however, they should indicate their status and the school(s) in which they are enrolled. If your abstract is research from your dissertation, please indicate what stage the research is at. Is it in the planning stages, research stage, or final completion?
Panel proposals should identify the chair and all proposed participants by name, address, phone number, and email address. Panel proposals should include a clear statement indicating the rationale for the panel and the format to be used. Panels will normally be comprised of no more than three presenters plus a chair.
Due Date for Abstracts
For the 2012 Tobias Leadership Conference, the due date for abstracts to be submitted is November 23, 2011. Please email abstracts to the Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will only consider electronic submissions.
Acceptance of Abstracts
Abstracts will be confirmed via email. The registration fee of $195 will be waived for those presenting abstracts. If your abstract is accepted for presentation and there are multiple persons participating, please be aware that we will generally only waive the registration fee for one person per abstract. Presentations should be within a timeframe of 20-25 minutes.
