LECTURERS
The University Without Walls at the University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks two full-time lecturers. Founded in 1971, the University Without Walls offers adult students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to design individualized Bachelor’s degrees, receive credit for experiential learning, and have access to the resources of a major research university. Lecturers teach UWW courses and serve as academic advisors for UWW students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Earned doctorate or other terminal degree; 3 years of higher education teaching experience; experience developing and teaching online courses; excellent writing skills; experience helping students develop writing and critical thinking skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Academic advising experience; experience teaching adults; academic program development.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Preference given to applications received by December 14, 2010, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
